Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced DRE – Lighting & Vision professional to join our team in Chennai. This role is crucial for the development and validation of lighting and vision systems within the automotive industry. Key Responsibilities The DRE – Lighting & Vision will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and validation of lighting and vision components, ensuring adherence to industry standards and optimizing performance. This includes leading design kick-offs and approvals, conducting technical reviews, and ensuring homologation compliance. Required Skills & Qualifications Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering (B.E. / B. Tech. / M. E / M. Tech). Experience: 8-10 years of experience in the automotive lighting and vision domain. This level of experience indicates a senior-level role requiring a proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers. Lighting and Vision System Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of Lighting and Vision System principles, including Forward Lighting , Rear Lighting , and Signal Lighting . Component Proficiency: Detailed knowledge of Lighting and Vision Components , including IRVM , Glass , and Cowl Screen Components . Electrical Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with EE Components and LED technology. Connector and Wiring Expertise: Proficiency in Connector Design , Pinouts , and PCB design. Understanding of Wiring Harness Selection Criteria is also required. Validation and Quality Assurance: Experience in creating and executing Validation Plan s, conducting Part Testing , and performing FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis). Design and Development Methodologies: Strong understanding of DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) and experience in Design Approval processes. Optimization Techniques: Ability to apply Weight Reduction and Value Optimization strategies to component selection and design. Standardization: Experience with Component Standardization initiatives. Technical Skills: Strong Problem Solving skills and the ability to conduct thorough Technical Review s. Process Management: Experience with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process). Teamwork and Communication: Demonstrated Team Building Skills and excellent communication abilities. Homologation: Knowledge of Homologation Compliance requirements. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an SSTL-Closure Design engineer. This role will be responsible for the design and development of closure systems for automotive applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, proficiency in CAD design software, and a proven ability to solve complex technical challenges. This is an onsite position. Key Responsibilities The SSTL-Closure Design engineer will be responsible for the following: Developing concept designs for closure components, including hoods , fenders , liftgates , tailgates , side doors , and manual tops . Performing feasibility studies to evaluate the technical and economic viability of proposed designs. Creating detailed CAD models and drawings using UG NX and CATIA . Conducting technical reviews to ensure design quality and adherence to specifications. Supporting vehicle integration activities to ensure proper fit and function of closure systems. Addressing closure product problem solving . Ensuring compliance with homologation and regulation compliance requirements. Working with press , stamping , and Hemming processes. Managing CFT Convergence . Window Regulator: Knowledge of window regulator systems. Sealings: Understanding of sealings . Sheet Metal: Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes. OEM Experience: Experience working with OEM s. Team Oriented: Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Self-Starter: Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative. B.E. / B.
