Design Release Engineer / Tire & wheel specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Design Release Engineer specializing in tires and wheels to join our team. This role will focus on ensuring the quality and reliability of tire and wheel designs through rigorous analysis, testing, and validation processes. Key Responsibilities

The Design Release Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the design release process for tires and wheels, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements. This includes conducting thorough analyses, facilitating testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve any issues that arise.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering with a specialization in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering is required.
• Experience: 3-8 years of experience in a related engineering role, demonstrating a solid understanding of design release processes and automotive quality standards. This level of experience indicates a proficiency in independently managing design releases and contributing to complex problem-solving initiatives.
• Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions to support design decisions and process improvements.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to identify, analyze, and resolve technical problems effectively, utilizing a systematic approach to root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Software Proficiency: Mastery of Ug/Nx and Catia V5 modeling software for creating and analyzing designs.
• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM): Experience with PLM systems, specifically Team Center, for managing design data and workflows.
• Quality Assurance Methodologies: Strong understanding and practical application of Dfmea (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Dvp&R (Design Verification and Validation), Control Plan, Pfmea (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process).
• Design and Development Methodologies: Familiarity with Dfss Methodology (Design for Six Sigma) for optimizing product designs and minimizing variation.
• Statistical Tools: Proficiency in utilizing Shainin and Doe (Design of Experiments) techniques for data analysis and process optimization.
• Testing and Validation: Experience with Tire Testing, Wheel Testing, and Vehicle Dynamics analysis to ensure product performance and safety.
• Ride Comfort: Understanding of Ride Comfort principles and their impact on vehicle design and performance.
