Required Skills & Qualifications Body Exterior : Demonstrated expertise in the design and development of body exterior components, including a thorough understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques. UG NX : Proficiency in utilising UG NX for 3D modelling, surfacing, and design validation. ENOVIA PLM : Experience with ENOVIA PLM for managing product lifecycle data and ensuring collaboration across teams. Homologation : Knowledge of homologation requirements and procedures for automotive components, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. GD&T : Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles and their application in design and manufacturing. DFMEA : Experience conducting DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify and mitigate potential design risks. Teamcenter : Familiarity with Teamcenter for managing product data and supporting engineering workflows. CATIA : Working knowledge of CATIA for 3D modelling and design. Bumper : Specific experience in the design and development of bumper systems. Front Bumper : Expertise in the design and development of front bumper components. Grill : Experience in the design and development of grill components. Plastic Design : Strong skills in plastic design principles and their application to automotive exterior components. Education : A Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology or a Master of Engineering / Master of Technology degree is required. Experience : 5-12 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry, demonstrating a proven track record of successful design and development projects. Key Responsibilities This role will encompass a range of design activities related to cabin, platform, and linkage systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating engineering requirements into detailed designs and manufacturing drawings. Required Skills & Qualifications Education: A B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / related discipline is required. Design Proficiency: Demonstrated ability in 3D modelling and 2D drafting , with a strong understanding of design principles. Component and Assembly Design: Experience in component design and assembly design for robust and functional systems. Product Lifecycle Management: Familiarity with Teamcenter PLM for managing product data and workflows. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T): Solid understanding and application of GD&T principles to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability. Manufacturing Knowledge: Ability to create accurate manufacturing drawings , considering various fabrication processes. Materials Expertise: Experience with sheet metal and welded structures , including understanding of fabrication techniques.
