Required Skills & Qualifications CATIA : Proficiency in CATIA is essential for 3D modeling and design of plastic components. Concept Design : Ability to translate conceptual ideas and requirements into viable design solutions for plastic parts. NX CAD : Experience with NX CAD is a plus for design and modeling tasks. DFM (Design for Manufacturing) : A strong understanding of DFM principles is required to ensure designs are optimized for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes. DFA (Design for Assembly) : Knowledge of DFA principles to facilitate ease of assembly and minimize assembly time and costs. Experience Required: 4 - 10 years of experience in a related engineering role, demonstrating a solid foundation in design and release processes. Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced DRE – Body Exterior Trim professional to join our team within the Automotive industry. This is an onsite position requiring a strong understanding of body exterior components and design processes. Key Responsibilities The responsibilities of this role will encompass a range of tasks related to the design, development, and validation of body exterior trim components. This includes ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the product lifecycle. Required Skills & Qualifications Body Exterior : Demonstrated expertise in the design and development of body exterior components, including a thorough understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques. UG NX : Proficiency in utilising UG NX for 3D modelling, surfacing, and design validation. ENOVIA PLM : Experience with ENOVIA PLM for managing product lifecycle data and ensuring collaboration across teams. Homologation : Knowledge of homologation requirements and procedures for automotive components, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. GD&T : Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles and their application in design and manufacturing. DFMEA : Experience conducting DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify and mitigate potential design risks. Teamcenter : Familiarity with Teamcenter for managing product data and supporting engineering workflows. CATIA : Working knowledge of CATIA for 3D modelling and design. Bumper : Specific experience in the design and development of bumper systems. Front Bumper : Expertise in the design and development of front bumper components. Grill : Experience in the design and development of grill components. Plastic Design : Strong skills in plastic design principles and their application to automotive exterior components. Education : A Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology or a Master of Engineering / Master of Technology degree is required. Experience : 5-12 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry, demonstrating a proven track record of successful design and development projects. This level of experience indicates a senior-level role requiring independent problem-solving and leadership capabilities.
