JOB DESCRIPTION Position Title: Vehicle Performance Test Engineer Job Posting Category: Product Design & Engineering - Engineering Job Description The Test Engineer is responsible for passenger vehicle testing per the DVP plan and for providing test results for comparison against vehicle targets. These tasks are needed throughout all the development stages of a vehicle project, from the Mule stage to the final production. Vehicle testing must be performed on standard tracks at test sites equipped with the required instrumentation and test data analysis software. Typical activities include: (Preferably in passenger car) Perform DVP tests – Vehicle Coast Down, Full & part performance, on-road fuel economy, Gradeability, Max speed, Emission testing (TA & COP), etc. Perform subjective assessments for vehicle drivability, performance & Gear shift quality for manual and automatic transmission applications.
