Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Robotic Simulation professional to join our Manufacturing team. This role will focus on the simulation and optimization of robotic processes within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of robotic principles, simulation techniques, and manufacturing processes. Key Responsibilities This role will be responsible for a range of tasks related to robotic simulation, including the creation of simulation reports, program generation and optimization, and ensuring robot safety. The role will also require independent work and coordination with cross-functional teams to finalize layouts and validate tooling. Required Skills & Qualifications BIW Simulation : Demonstrated proficiency in simulating Body-in-White (BIW) processes using simulation software. BIW Manufacturing Processes : A thorough understanding of BIW manufacturing processes and their impact on robotic operations. Cell Building : Experience in the design and simulation of robotic workcells. Tool Validation : Ability to validate tooling designs through simulation to ensure optimal robotic performance. Robot Reachability : Expertise in analyzing robot reachability to ensure efficient and effective robotic operations. Robot Accessibility Analysis : Ability to perform accessibility analysis to identify and mitigate potential limitations in robotic workspace. Collision-Free Robotic Operations : Ability to design and simulate collision-free robotic operations. Cycle-Time Creation : Experience in creating accurate and efficient cycle times for robotic processes. Cycle-Time Optimization : Ability to optimize cycle times through simulation and process adjustments. Layout Finalization : Experience in finalizing layouts to ensure optimal robotic performance and safety. Robot Safety Concepts : A strong understanding of robot safety concepts and their application in manufacturing environments. Robot Safety Devices : Familiarity with various robot safety devices and their implementation. OLP : Experience with OLP (Offline Programming) software. Program Generation : Ability to generate robotic programs based on simulation results. Program Optimization : Ability to optimize robotic programs for efficiency and performance. Simulation Reports : Ability to create comprehensive and informative simulation reports. Documentation : Strong documentation skills to clearly communicate simulation results and findings. Independent Work : Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams : Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive manufacturing and a proven ability to apply simulation methodologies to solve complex engineering challenges. Key Responsibilities The primary responsibility of this role is to perform and interpret Process Simulation to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality. This includes developing and executing simulation models, analyzing results, and providing recommendations for process improvements. The role will also involve collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of simulation-driven solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications Process Simulation: Demonstrated proficiency in performing Process Simulation to analyze and optimize manufacturing processes. This includes the ability to develop and validate simulation models, interpret results, and generate actionable insights. BIW Simulation: Experience with BIW Simulation is highly desirable, demonstrating an understanding of Body-in-White manufacturing processes and their simulation. Delmia: Strong working knowledge of Delmia , a leading Process Simulation software, including its capabilities for process planning, simulation, and optimization. Process Simulate: Expertise in using Process Simulate for simulating and analyzing manufacturing processes, including assembly, welding, and other production operations. Process Designer: Ability to utilize Process Designer tools to create and modify manufacturing process flows within simulation environments. Concepts: A solid understanding of manufacturing Concepts , including lean manufacturing principles, process flow analysis, and root cause problem solving. 3D Detailing: Experience with 3D Detailing software and techniques for creating and manipulating 3D models of manufacturing equipment and components. 2D Detailing: Proficiency in 2D Detailing , including the creation and interpretation of engineering drawings. Engineering Drawings: Ability to read and interpret complex Engineering Drawings to understand manufacturing requirements and constraints. Automotive Manufacturing Processes: A comprehensive understanding of Automotive Manufacturing Processes , including stamping, welding, assembly, and painting. Experience Required: We are seeking candidates with 2 - 6 years of relevant experience in process simulation or a related field. This level of experience indicates a solid foundation in simulation methodologies and the ability to work independently on complex projects.
