Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated CAD Automation Engineer (NX Open) to join our growing team. This role will focus on developing and implementing automation solutions within our Siemens NX environment, enhancing design efficiency and ensuring design quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical design principles and a passion for leveraging automation to solve complex engineering challenges. Key Responsibilities The CAD Automation Engineer (NX Open) will be responsible for the following: Develop and maintain NX Open applications to automate repetitive tasks and improve design workflows. Create and implement KBE Concepts and Rule-Based Design solutions to standardize design processes and ensure consistency. Design and implement Design Templates to streamline the creation of new parts, assemblies, and drawings. Collaborate with design engineers to identify automation opportunities and develop tailored solutions. Troubleshoot and debug existing automation scripts and applications. Maintain version control of all automation code using Git . Document all automation solutions and provide training to end-users. Required Skills & Qualifications To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications: B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, Mechatronics or a related discipline. 2 - 4 years of experience in a CAD automation role, demonstrating a solid understanding of CAD/CAM/CAE principles. This level of experience indicates a proficiency in independently developing and implementing automation solutions, as well as collaborating effectively within a team. Proficiency in NX Open programming for automating tasks within Siemens NX . Strong programming skills in C#, Python, and VB.NET . Experience with NX Journaling for automating tasks within Siemens NX . Solid understanding of Mechanical Design Concepts , including GD&T and Drawing Standards . Familiarity with Data Structures and OOP Basics . Experience with Sketching , Part Modelling , Assemblies , and Drafting within Siemens NX . Knowledge of PLM systems, specifically Teamcenter . Experience with Excel VBA for automating tasks within Microsoft Excel. Proficient in Scripting techniques. Familiarity with Automotive Components , BIW , Interiors , and Plastics . Understanding of Tooling processes. Excellent Communication Skills for effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Biw Design Engineer to join our team in the Automotive industry. This is an onsite position requiring a strong understanding of Body-in-White (BiW) design principles and a proven ability to contribute to the development of high-quality automotive components. Key Responsibilities The Biw Design Engineer will be responsible for a range of design and engineering tasks related to the Body-in-White, ensuring designs meet performance, manufacturability, and quality standards. This includes contributing to the design of both Upper Body and Under Body components. Required Skills & Qualifications Biw Design : Demonstrated proficiency in Biw Design principles, including component design, assembly design, and integration within the overall vehicle structure. Biw Parts : A thorough understanding of Biw Parts , their function, and their role in the vehicle's structural integrity. Upper Body : Experience in the design and development of Upper Body components, considering factors such as occupant safety and ergonomics. Under Body : Experience in the design and development of Under Body components, considering factors such as vehicle protection and aerodynamics. DFMEA : Proficiency in performing DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify and mitigate potential design risks. GD&T : Strong understanding and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles to ensure accurate and consistent component manufacturing. Manufacturing Processes : Knowledge of various Manufacturing Processes used in the production of automotive components, including stamping, welding, and assembly. Assembly Design : Experience in Assembly Design , ensuring efficient and robust assembly processes. UG NX : Expertise in using UG NX for 3D modeling, design, and analysis of automotive components. Education : A Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology degree is required. Experience Required : The ideal candidate will possess 5 - 12 years of relevant experience in Biw Design within the Automotive industry. This level of experience indicates a seasoned professional capable of independently managing design tasks, contributing to problem-solving, and mentoring junior engineers.
