We are seeking a Dyno Test Engineer to join our team in Magarpatta, Pune. This role will be responsible for operating and maintaining dyno and test systems, conducting performance and durability testing, and ensuring the quality and reliability of our products. Key Responsibilities
The Dyno Test Engineer will be responsible for a range of tasks related to dyno testing and system maintenance. This includes, but is not limited to, the operation and setup of dynamometers, execution of load profiles, and the performance of various tests to evaluate motor and inverter performance and durability. The role also involves troubleshooting test stand issues, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring adherence to quality management systems and safety protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline is required.
- Dyno & Test Systems: Demonstrated proficiency in the operation and setup of dyno and test systems, including dynamometer operation.
- Motor and Inverter Testing: Experience with motor and inverter testing methodologies, including performance and durability testing.
- Load Profile Execution: Ability to execute load profiles accurately and efficiently.
- Test Automation Systems: Familiarity with test automation systems and their application in testing environments.
- Data Acquisition Systems (DAQ): Strong understanding of data acquisition systems and their role in data collection and analysis.
- Electrical Knowledge: A solid foundation in electrical principles, including knowledge of AC/DC motors, BLDC, PMSM, and Induction Motors.
- Motor Controllers & Inverters: Understanding of motor controllers and inverters, and their role in motor operation.
- Power Electronics Fundamentals: A working knowledge of power electronics fundamentals.
- Safety Practices: Strict adherence to high-voltage safety practices and electrical safety protocols.
- Electrical Measurements & Instrumentation: Proficiency in performing electrical measurements and utilizing various instrumentation techniques. This includes experience with Torque transducers, Speed encoders, Thermocouples, RTDs, Current probes, and Voltage measurement systems.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent troubleshooting skills, including electrical fault finding and sensor diagnosis.
- Test Stand Debugging: Ability to effectively debug test stand issues and perform wiring verification.
- Hardware Integration: Experience in identifying and resolving hardware integration issues.
- Root Cause Analysis: Ability to perform root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5Why.
- Other Skills: Including Harness preparation, Crimping, Wiring, Connector assembly, Soldering, Desoldering activities, PCBA rework, Repair, SMT, Through-hole components, Component replacement, Soldering/de-soldering techniques, Wire harness preparation, Cable assembly, Test setup preparation, Laboratory equipment configuration.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills for data interpretation and problem-solving.
- Technical Documentation & Report Writing: Ability to create clear and concise technical documentation and reports.
- ESD Controls & Lab Compliance: Knowledge of ESD controls and lab compliance practices.
- Data Acquisition Systems: Experience with data acquisition systems, including LabVIEW and NI DAQ systems.
- CAN Communication: Familiarity with CANanalyzer and CANoe for CAN communication analysis.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in Excel data analysis and data logging techniques.
- Software: Basic software skills for instrumentation interfaces and hands-on experience.
- Quality Management System: Understanding of quality management system principles.
