Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerothermal & HVAC Project Performance Engineer to join our team. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the performance and quality of our aerothermal and HVAC systems through rigorous testing, analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive and technology principles, coupled with a proven ability to manage and optimize project performance.
Key Responsibilities
The Aerothermal & HVAC Project Performance Engineer will be responsible for a range of tasks including:
- Overseeing and analyzing project performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Developing and executing Validation Planning strategies to ensure comprehensive testing and verification of Aerothermal and HVAC systems.
- Conducting thorough CFD/1D Simulation Review and CAD Review to identify potential design flaws and optimize performance.
- Performing Data Analysis on test results to draw meaningful conclusions and inform design decisions.
- Creating and delivering Management Reporting on project status, performance, and risks.
Required Skills & Qualifications

- Project Performance Engineering: A deep understanding of project performance engineering principles and methodologies, with the ability to apply them to complex Aerothermal and HVAC systems.
- Functional Synthesis: Ability to synthesize functional requirements and translate them into testable validation plans.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and validation groups.
- Validation Planning: Expertise in developing and executing comprehensive validation plans to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Test-Data Synthesis: Ability to synthesize and analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Aerothermal Validation: Experience with the validation of Aerothermal systems, including testing and analysis.
- HVAC Testing: Experience with the testing and validation of HVAC systems.
- Thermal Performance: A strong understanding of Thermal Performance principles and their application to automotive systems.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools to extract meaningful insights from test data.
- Scorecard: Experience in developing and utilizing Scorecard systems to track and monitor project performance.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to apply problem-solving methodologies to address technical challenges.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- PLM: Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
- Microsoft Suite: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel (including Macro capabilities), and Word.
- Power BI: Experience using Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Vehicle Instrumentation: Knowledge of Vehicle Instrumentation and its application to testing and data acquisition.
- Road Trip Testing: Experience with Road Trip Testing methodologies.
- Lab Testing: Experience with Lab Testing procedures and equipment.
- DVP: Understanding of DVP (Design Verification Plan) principles.
- CFD/1D Simulation Review: Ability to review and interpret results from CFD/1D Simulation.
- CAD Review: Ability to review and interpret CAD designs.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in the Mechanical or Automotive domain.
- 8 - 12 years of relevant experience in a similar role. This level of experience is expected to demonstrate a high level of proficiency and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
