RLE India Private Limited••full time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Android Navigation Engineer to join our growing team. This role will focus on the development and optimization of Android-based navigation systems, specifically within an automotive environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Android framework and a proven ability to work with complex systems. Key Responsibilities This role will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of Android navigation components. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and performant navigation solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications Programming Languages: Proficiency in C++ , C , Java , and Kotlin is essential. The candidate should be comfortable writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code. Android Development: Demonstrated experience with the Android Framework , including Android Framework Customization and Android Middleware Customization . Native Development: Strong understanding of JNI and AIDL for interoperability between Java and native code. Security: Familiarity with SELinux and its application to Android systems. Android Open Source Project (AOSP): Experience working with and customizing the AOSP codebase. Automotive Experience: Experience with AAOS (Android Automotive OS) and In-Vehicle Infotainment systems is highly desirable. Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL): Solid understanding of HAL and HAL Service , including Vehicle HAL and VHAL Service . Android Framework Service: Experience with Android Framework Service and its interaction with other system components. Inter-Process Communication (IPC): Knowledge of Binder IPC for communication between Android processes. Build Systems: Experience with Soong , Blueprint , Android.bp , and Android.mk build systems. Location Services: Familiarity with GNSS , GNSS HAL , LocationManagerService , and Fused Location Provider for location-based services. Experience Required: The ideal candidate will have 5 - 8 years of experience in Android development, demonstrating a senior level of proficiency. This experience should include a track record of successfully delivering complex projects and mentoring junior engineers. What We Offer Salary: Not provided. Work Mode: onsite
