Key Responsibilities The Cyber Security Software Engineer will be responsible for a range of tasks related to the security of our embedded systems. This includes designing and implementing Secure Architecture , conducting thorough Security Reviews and Code Reviews , and performing Penetration Testing to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities. The role also involves contributing to the development of Security Services and ensuring adherence to Automotive Standards . Required Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in software engineering principles and a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices. Specific skills and qualifications include: Programming Languages: Proficiency in C and C++ is essential for developing and maintaining secure software components. Mobile Development: Experience with Android development will be beneficial for understanding and securing related platform components. Operating Systems: Familiarity with QNX is highly desirable, given its common use in automotive and embedded systems. Time Management & Synchronization: A strong understanding of Secure Time Management , RTC (Real-Time Clock), Timezone Management , and Trusted Time Sources is critical for ensuring system integrity. Embedded Systems Expertise: Demonstrated experience in Automotive Embedded Systems and Embedded Software Development is required. Cybersecurity Expertise: A solid grasp of Cybersecurity Principles , including Threat Analysis , Secure Architecture Design , Secure Boot , Secure Time Validation , and Time Tampering Detection . Security Technologies: Experience with Cryptographic Services , Trusted Execution Environments , Key Management , and System Hardening . Platform-Level Debugging: Ability to perform Platform-Level Debugging to identify and resolve security vulnerabilities. Platform-Level Services: Understanding of Platform-Level Services and their role in overall system security. Testing & Validation: Proficiency in Unit Testing , Integration Testing , and Security Testing methodologies. Architecture & Design: Ability to participate in Architecture Reviews and contribute to the design of secure systems. Cybersecurity Compliance: Knowledge of Cybersecurity Compliance requirements and standards. Experience Required: 6 - 8 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on security. This includes ensuring the integrity and security of software updates throughout the entire lifecycle, from initial development to customer integration. The role requires a deep understanding of embedded systems and a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable software. Required Skills & Qualifications Android : Demonstrated proficiency in developing and integrating software within the Android ecosystem. HAL : Experience with Hardware Abstraction Layer ( HAL ) development and integration. SWUpdate : Strong understanding of SWUpdate principles and practical experience in implementing update solutions. Update Engine : Expertise in designing and implementing robust and efficient Update Engine components. Partition Table : Knowledge of Partition Table structures and their role in software updates.
