Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Embedded Engineer to join our growing team. This role will be focused on developing and integrating embedded systems, specifically within the Android Automotive domain. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of embedded Linux, Android development, and experience with board bring-up and debugging. This is an onsite position. Key Responsibilities The Embedded Engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle of embedded systems development, from initial concept and design to implementation, testing, and integration. This includes working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components. Required Skills & Qualifications Android Embedded Development: Demonstrated proficiency in developing applications and system components for embedded Android platforms. Android OS: A thorough understanding of the Android operating system architecture and its underlying principles. Yocto: Experience utilizing 1 Yocto Project for building and customizing embedded Linux distributions. BSP Development: Ability to develop and maintain Board Support Packages (BSPs) , including kernel configuration and device driver integration. BSP Integration: Skill in integrating BSPs with hardware platforms and ensuring proper functionality. Embedded Linux: Strong knowledge of Embedded Linux operating systems and their application in embedded devices. Board bring-up: Experience with the process of bringing up new hardware platforms, including initial configuration and testing. Debugging: Proven ability to effectively debug and troubleshoot embedded systems, utilizing various debugging tools and techniques. Android Framework: Familiarity with the Android Framework and its components, including the ability to customize and extend its functionality. System Components: Understanding of core system components within Android and their interactions. Device Configurations: Ability to configure and optimize device configurations for embedded Android platforms. Product Development: Experience participating in the full product development lifecycle, from concept to release. Integration: Skill in integrating various hardware and software components into a cohesive system. Android Automotive: Specific experience with Android Automotive platforms and their unique requirements. Automotive Domain: A general understanding of the automotive domain and its specific challenges. C/C++: Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages for embedded systems development. Kernel: Solid understanding of kernel architecture and its role in embedded systems. Device Drivers: Experience developing and integrating device drivers for various hardware peripherals. HAL: Knowledge of Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL) and its role in decoupling hardware from software. Git: Proficiency in using Git for version control and collaborative development. Bsp: Familiarity with Bsp concepts and best practices. Android: Comprehensive knowledge of the Android operating system and its ecosystem. Experience Required: 3 - 5 years of experience in embedded systems development.
