•full time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced Design & Release Engineer specializing in plastics to join our team within the automotive industry. This is an onsite position requiring a dedicated individual with a strong understanding of design principles and release processes related to plastic components. Key Responsibilities The responsibilities of this role will encompass the full lifecycle of plastic component design and release, ensuring manufacturability and adherence to quality standards. This includes concept design, detailed design, and collaboration with manufacturing and quality teams. Required Skills & Qualifications CATIA : Proficiency in CATIA is essential for 3D modeling and design of plastic components. Concept Design : Ability to translate conceptual ideas and requirements into viable design solutions for plastic parts. NX CAD : Experience with NX CAD is a plus for design and modeling tasks. DFM (Design for Manufacturing) : A strong understanding of DFM principles is required to ensure designs are optimized for efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes. DFA (Design for Assembly) : Knowledge of DFA principles to facilitate ease of assembly and minimize assembly time and costs. Experience Required: 4 - 10 years of experience in a related engineering role, demonstrating a solid foundation in design and release processes.
