Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a SW Update specialist. This role will be based in Bangalore and will focus on the development, implementation, and maintenance of software update solutions within the IT / Technology industry. Key Responsibilities The primary responsibility of this role is to contribute to the development and maintenance of SWUpdate solutions. This includes ensuring the integrity and security of software updates throughout the entire lifecycle, from initial development to customer integration. The role requires a deep understanding of embedded systems and a commitment to delivering high-quality, reliable software. Required Skills & Qualifications Android : Demonstrated proficiency in developing and integrating software within the Android ecosystem. HAL : Experience with Hardware Abstraction Layer ( HAL ) development and integration. SWUpdate : Strong understanding of SWUpdate principles and practical experience in implementing update solutions. Update Engine : Expertise in designing and implementing robust and efficient Update Engine components. Partition Table : Knowledge of Partition Table structures and their role in software updates. Android Security : A thorough understanding of Android Security best practices and their application to software updates. Bootup : Experience with the Bootup process and its interaction with software updates. CPP : Proficiency in C++ programming language. Java : Proficiency in Java programming language. Linux : Strong understanding of the Linux operating system and its application to embedded systems. OTA : Experience with Over-The-Air ( OTA ) update mechanisms. Cockpit : Familiarity with Cockpit tools and their use in software development and testing. CCU : Understanding of Central Configuration Unit ( CCU ) concepts and their role in system management. Boot Control : Experience with Boot Control mechanisms and their integration with software updates. Image Authentication : Expertise in Image Authentication techniques to ensure the integrity of software updates. Signing : Knowledge of Signing procedures for software updates. Encryption : Understanding of Encryption methods used to protect software updates. Rollback Protection : Experience in implementing Rollback Protection mechanisms to ensure system stability. Vehicle Integration : Ability to integrate software updates into Vehicle systems. Cybersecurity : A strong foundation in Cybersecurity principles and their application to software updates. Software Quality : Commitment to maintaining high Software Quality standards. System-Level Optimization : Ability to perform System-Level Optimization to improve software update performance. Validation : Experience in Validation processes for software updates. Test Strategies : Ability to develop and execute effective Test Strategies for software updates. Customer Integrations : Experience with Customer Integrations related to software updates. Architecture Reviews : Ability to participate in and contribute to Architecture Reviews . Reusable Solutions : A focus on creating Reusable Solutions to improve development efficiency. Problem-Solving Skills : Excellent Problem-Solving Skills to address complex software update challenges. Analytical Skills : Strong Analytical Skills to analyze software update issues and identify root causes. Communication Skills : Effective Communication Skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Experience Required: The ideal candidate will possess 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in software development, with a focus on embedded systems and software updates.
