Warehouse Operations Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team in either Pune or Chennai. This role is critical to ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our warehouse, supporting our production processes and maintaining optimal inventory levels within the Automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This includes managing warehouse space, optimizing material flow, and providing seamless production support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Warehouse Operations: Demonstrated expertise in managing warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes.
• Inventory Control: Proven ability to implement and maintain robust inventory control systems, ensuring accurate stock levels and minimizing discrepancies.
• Material Flow: Strong understanding of material flow principles and the ability to optimize material movement within the warehouse to enhance efficiency.
• Production Support: Experience providing seamless support to production teams, ensuring timely delivery of materials and minimizing production downtime.
• SAP MM: Proficiency in using SAP MM (Materials Management) module for inventory management, procurement, and material planning.
• SAP PP: Working knowledge of SAP PP (Production Planning) module to align warehouse operations with production schedules.
• GRN: Experience with Goods Receipt Note (GRN) processing and verification.
• Stock Reconciliation: Ability to perform regular stock reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Cycle Counting: Experience conducting cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• FIFO: Knowledge and application of First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory management principles.
• Warehouse Space Optimization: Ability to analyze warehouse layout and implement strategies for optimizing space utilization.
• Manpower Management: Proven ability to effectively manage warehouse personnel, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluation.
• 5S: Familiarity with 5S methodology for workplace organization and standardization.
• Lean: Understanding of Lean principles and their application to warehouse operations.
• Kaizen: Experience implementing Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement.
• EHS Practices: Commitment to adhering to and promoting Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) practices.
• Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of warehouse professionals.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Ability to effectively collaborate with other departments, such as production, procurement, and logistics.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to identify and resolve operational challenges effectively.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Experience Required: 8 - 10 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, with a demonstrated track record of success in a leadership role. We are seeking a senior-level candidate capable of independently managing complex operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
