Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our team in Chennai. This is an onsite position within the Technology industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Mainframe Systems and a proven ability to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for the full software development lifecycle, from initial design and coding to testing, debugging, and delivery. The candidate will collaborate with a team to ensure the successful implementation of Microservices and APIs, while adhering to established Security Practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Mainframe Systems: Demonstrated proficiency in working with Mainframe Systems, including a thorough understanding of their architecture and operational principles.
• Mainframe DB: Expertise in Mainframe DB management and manipulation, ensuring data integrity and efficient retrieval.
• DB2: Strong skills in DB2 database administration and query optimization.
• COBOL: Solid experience in COBOL coding and maintenance.
• JCL: Proficiency in JCL for job control and automation.
• Agile: Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Encryption: Understanding of Encryption techniques and their application in securing sensitive data.
• Anonymization: Knowledge of data Anonymization methods to protect user privacy.
• User Interface: Ability to design and implement intuitive and user-friendly User Interface elements.
• APIs: Experience in designing, developing, and integrating APIs for seamless data exchange.
• Microservices: Understanding of Microservices architecture and its benefits.
• Testing: Comprehensive Testing skills, including unit, integration, and system testing.
• Debugging: Strong Debugging skills to identify and resolve software defects efficiently.
• Coding: Excellent Coding practices and adherence to coding standards.
• Delivery: Proven ability to manage Delivery timelines and meet project goals.
• Security Practices: Commitment to implementing and maintaining robust Security Practices.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional Problem-Solving Skills to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Analytical Skills: Strong Analytical Skills to assess data and make informed decisions.
• Communication Skills: Effective Communication Skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's Degree is required.

Experience Required: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 6 - 6 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in software development and a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. This is an established engineer role, requiring a high degree of autonomy and responsibility.
