ServiceNow ITOM Health Developer (Event Management & Health Log Analytics)

Role Summary

Implement and configure ServiceNow ITOM Health solutions with a primary focus on Event Management and Health Log Analytics (HLA). Collaborate with architects and client SMEs to build integrations, rules, parsers, automations, and dashboards that reduce alert noise, accelerate triage, and improve service health KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure Event Management including connectors, event rules, alert correlation, aggregation, and suppression.
• Build Health Log Analytics pipelines and parsers; develop patterns for anomaly detection and noise reduction.
• Develop Flow Designer and IntegrationHub automations for enrichment, auto-remediation, and incident/major incident workflows.
• Create operational dashboards, alert consoles, and service health KPIs with business service impact views.
• Integrate monitoring, observability, and ITSM tools using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, webhooks, and adapters.
• Implement CMDB relationships and service maps in collaboration with Discovery and Service Mapping teams.
• Ensure performance and security through scoped app design, Script Includes, Glide APIs, ACLs, and encryption.
• Write unit tests and ATF scripts; support SIT/UAT; package deployments and tune event/log pipelines.
• Document configurations, runbooks, and operational handovers; support hypercare and continuous improvement.
• Leverage Now Assist for ITOM to accelerate triage and propose remediation where applicable.

ITOM Health Scope & Practices

• Event ingestion, normalization, de-duplication, correlation, and noise reduction
• Health Log Analytics: log collection, parsing, enrichment, and anomaly detection
• CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping (CSDM-aligned)
• AIOps for alert clustering, probable root cause, and predictive insights
• Automation using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub
• Governance best practices including SDLC, CI/CD, and performance testing

Qualifications – Must Have

• 5+ years of ServiceNow experience with 2+ years in ITOM Health development
• Strong hands-on configuration of Event Management and HLA
• Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP, MID Server, webhooks)
• JavaScript and Glide scripting expertise
• Practical understanding of CMDB, CSDM, and service relationships
• Knowledge of ITIL v4 processes and SRE KPIs (MTTD, MTTR, availability)
• Exposure to Now Assist for ITOM or similar AI-based operations tools

Qualifications – Good to Have

• ServiceNow CSA (mandatory or within 3 months of joining)
• CIS – Event Management; CIS – Discovery and/or Service Mapping
• CAD and micro-certifications (IntegrationHub, Flow Designer)
• ITIL v4 Foundation
• ATF, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab)
• Cloud and container observability (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes)
• Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
