Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sourcing Buyer to join our Procurement team. This role will be responsible for sourcing and procuring materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical background and a proven ability to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.

Key Responsibilities

The Sourcing Buyer will be responsible for a range of tasks including, but not limited to, managing the RFQ and RFP processes, generating Purchase Orders, and conducting thorough Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Selection. They will also be expected to identify opportunities for Cost Reduction and contribute to Supplier Development initiatives.

• Negotiation: Proven ability to negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, securing optimal pricing and quality.
• Commercial Skills: A strong understanding of commercial principles and practices, including Incoterms, Commercial Terms, and Legal Terms.
• RFQ/RFP Management: Experience managing the full cycle of RFQ (Request for Quotation) and RFP (Request for Proposal) processes.
• Purchase Order Management: Proficiency in generating and managing Purchase Order documentation.
• Cost Breakdown Analysis: Ability to analyze Cost Breakdown structures to identify cost drivers and opportunities for improvement.
• Supplier Evaluation & Selection: Experience in conducting thorough Supplier Evaluation and Supplier Selection processes.
• Cost Reduction Initiatives: A track record of identifying and implementing Cost Reduction initiatives.
• Supplier Development: Ability to contribute to Supplier Development programs to improve supplier performance.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong Stakeholder-Management Skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• ERP Systems: Experience working with ERP Systems, including SAP, Oracle, and NetSuite.
• Supplier Management: Proven ability to manage and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• NPD and Localization experience is a plus.
• Alternate Supplier Development experience is a plus.
• VA/VE experience is a plus.
• Raw Material Price Movements and Indices understanding.
• Supply Base Acumen.
• Familiarity with the Automotive and Aerospace industries.
• Knowledge of Precision Machined Parts, Sliding Heads, VMC, and HMC.
• Understanding of Post Treatment Processes, including Heat Treatment, Plating, and Coating.
• Experience with Castings, SGI, PDC, GI, and Aluminium Housings.
• Knowledge of Machining, Fasteners, and Plastics.
• Understanding of Injection Molding Processes.
• Experience with Cost Models.
• Familiarity with High Speed Stampings, Electrical Parts, PCB, and Wiring Harnesses.

Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a Post Graduate Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
