SAP ABAP S4 HANA Technical Consultant (Finance & Controlling)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced SAP ABAP S4 HANA Technical Consultant specializing in Finance and Controlling to join our dynamic team. This is a hybrid role requiring a blend of on-site and remote work. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation in SAP, with a particular focus on S4 HANA, and a deep understanding of Finance and Controlling modules. This role demands a proactive individual capable of independently tackling complex technical challenges and collaborating effectively with Functional Teams.

Key Responsibilities

The SAP ABAP S4 HANA Technical Consultant will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of SAP solutions within the Finance and Controlling areas. This includes, but is not limited to, the creation and maintenance of RICEF Objects, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms. The role also involves ensuring S/4HANA Compatibility and performing Performance Optimization on existing SAP code.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• SAP ABAP: Extensive experience in SAP ABAP development, including Object Oriented ABAP and AMDP.
• S4 HANA: Proven ability to develop and implement solutions within the S4 HANA environment.
• Finance & Controlling: A thorough understanding of Finance and Controlling principles and their application within SAP, including FI, GL, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting, Treasury Management, Taxation, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Cost Controlling, CO PA, Credit Management, Financial Closing, Financial Reporting, and Intercompany Accounting.
• RICEF Objects: Expertise in the creation and modification of RICEF Objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms).
• CDS Views & OData Services: Proficiency in developing CDS Views and OData Services for data retrieval and integration.
• APIs: Experience with APIs for seamless system integration.
• Workflows: Ability to design and implement Workflows to automate business processes.
• Impact Analysis & Root Cause Analysis: Strong analytical skills to perform Impact Analysis and Root Cause Analysis to resolve technical issues.
• Technical Troubleshooting: Excellent Technical Troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve SAP system errors.
• Data Migration: Experience with Data Migration processes and tools.
• System Integration: Ability to integrate SAP with other systems.
• Performance Optimization: Skills in Performance Tuning to optimize SAP system performance.
• Code Reviews: Ability to conduct and participate in Code Reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to SAP Development Standards.
• Unit Test Scripts: Experience in creating and executing Unit Test Scripts.
• Technical Documentation: Ability to create clear and concise Technical Documentation.
• Release Management & Hypercare: Familiarity with Release Management processes and Hypercare support.
• Basis & Security: Understanding of Basis and Security concepts within SAP.
• Debugging: Proficient in Debugging SAP code.
• Analytical Skills: Strong Analytical Skills to analyze complex data and identify trends.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent Problem-Solving Skills to resolve technical challenges effectively.
• Communication Skills: Effective Communication Skills to collaborate with Functional Teams and communicate technical information clearly.
• Familiarity with Enhancement Framework, BADI, User Exits, BTE, BRF+, ALV Reports, Background Jobs, Financial Interfaces, Bank Interfaces, Payment Interfaces, Journal Entry Upload Programs, Asset Upload Programs, Tax Reports, and Treasury Interfaces.

Experience Required: 8 - 15 years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with a focus on Finance and Controlling modules. We are seeking a senior-level consultant capable of working independently and mentoring junior team members.
