Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CATIA CAA RADE Developer / CATIA Customization Engineer to join our team. This role will focus on developing and customizing CATIA solutions using CATIA CAA RADE, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with business needs. The position requires an onsite presence.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves a deep understanding of CATIA and its customization capabilities. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining CATIA applications, addressing complex technical challenges, and ensuring the stability and efficiency of CATIA environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.
• Experience: 5-6 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on CATIA customization and development. This level of experience indicates a seasoned professional capable of independent work and mentoring junior team members.
• CATIA CAA RADE: Extensive proficiency in CATIA CAA RADE development, including a thorough understanding of its capabilities and limitations.
• CATIA V5: Strong working knowledge of CATIA V5 architecture and its functionalities.
• Programming Languages: Expertise in C++ and proficiency in C# and VBA for CATIA automation.
• Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): Solid understanding of OOP principles, including Inheritance, Polymorphism, and Templates, to design and implement robust and maintainable CATIA customizations.
• Memory Management: Demonstrated ability to manage memory effectively, utilizing techniques like STL to prevent memory leaks and optimize performance.
• CATIA Architecture & Frameworks: Deep understanding of CATIA architecture, CATIA frameworks, and CATIA interfaces, enabling efficient development of custom solutions.
• CAA APIs: Proficiency in utilizing CAA APIs to extend CATIA functionality and integrate with other systems.
• Geometric Modeling: Strong grasp of CATIA geometric modeling concepts, including 3D geometric entities, CAD geometry, and Geometrical entities.
• Coordinate Systems: Solid understanding of Coordinate Geometry, including Vectors, Matrices, Coordinate systems, Transformation matrices, Translation, Rotation, Scaling, Local coordinate systems, and Global coordinate systems.
• Mathematical Operations: Proficiency in performing mathematical operations such as Dot product, Cross product, calculating Distances, and Angles, as well as utilizing Projection and Normal vectors.
• CATIA Automation: Experience with CATIA V5 Automation APIs for automating tasks and workflows.
• CATIA Knowledgeware: Familiarity with CATIA Knowledgeware and EKL for creating and managing knowledge-based engineering solutions.
• CATIA UI Development: Ability to develop custom CATIA UI elements, CATIA dialogs, and CATIA commands.
• Data Exchange Formats: Knowledge of data exchange formats such as CGM, STEP, IGES, STL, and DXF.
• Geometric Algorithms: Understanding of geometric algorithms, including Intersection, Convex hull, Collision detection, and Interference detection.
• Version Control: Experience using GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated Analytical Skills and Problem-Solving Skills to effectively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
