PCB Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated PCB Design Engineer to join our growing team in Pune. This role is critical to the development and production of high-quality printed circuit boards for a variety of applications within the technology industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of PCB design principles and a proven ability to translate design requirements into manufacturable and reliable products.

Key Responsibilities

The PCB Design Engineer will be responsible for the complete design lifecycle of printed circuit boards, from initial concept to production release. This includes:

• Developing and designing multilayer and power PCBs for various applications, including Automotive ECUs, Motor Controllers, BMS, DC-DC Converters, and Chargers.
• Creating detailed schematics and translating them into robust and manufacturable PCB layouts.
• Performing rigorous design reviews and validation testing to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and test engineers, to optimize designs for manufacturability and testability.
• Generating comprehensive production release documentation, including Gerber files, ODB++ data, and detailed design specifications.

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Proficiency in PCB Design and PCB Development, with a strong understanding of design principles and best practices.
• Experience designing Power PCB Design, including expertise in High-Current Circuits and Mixed-Signal Designs.
• Demonstrated ability to design for high-frequency applications, including High-Frequency Designs and considerations for Signal Integrity.
• Knowledge of IPC Standards and Automotive Electronics Development Processes.
• Expertise in utilizing industry-standard design tools, including Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, and OrCAD.
• Strong skills in Schematic Capture, Component Placement, and PCB Routing.
• Familiarity with design verification processes, including Design Rule Checks (DRC).
• Understanding of design optimization techniques, including Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Testing (DFT).
• Knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI) considerations, including Grounding and Power Distribution.
• Experience with Thermal Management techniques for PCBs.
• Ability to conduct thorough PCB Design Reviews and Design Validation.

Experience Required: 2 - 7 years of experience in PCB design. This level of experience indicates a proficiency in handling complex design challenges and a demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team. We are seeking a candidate who can contribute immediately and mentor junior engineers.
