PCB Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced PCB Design Engineer to join our growing team. This is an onsite position within the IT / Technology industry.

Key Responsibilities

The PCB Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and layout of printed circuit boards, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project requirements. This role demands a meticulous approach to detail and a strong understanding of signal integrity and power integrity principles.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• PCB Design: Demonstrated proficiency in the design and layout of printed circuit boards, encompassing a thorough understanding of design principles and best practices.
• High-Power PCB Design: Experience in designing PCBs for high-power applications, including considerations for thermal management and current handling.
• High-Frequency PCB Design: Expertise in designing PCBs for high-frequency applications, with a focus on impedance control and signal integrity.
• High-Speed PCB Design: Ability to design PCBs for high-speed digital circuits, ensuring minimal signal degradation and timing issues.
• EMI/EMC: Knowledge of electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) principles and their application to PCB design.
• Noise: Understanding of noise sources and mitigation techniques in PCB design.
• Creepage and Clearance: A strong understanding of creepage and clearance requirements for high-voltage applications.
• Altium Designer: Proficiency in using Altium Designer for PCB design and layout.
• OrCAD: Familiarity with OrCAD for PCB design and simulation.
• PCB Layout: Expertise in creating efficient and manufacturable PCB layouts.
• Routing: Ability to perform complex routing tasks, including differential pairs and impedance-controlled traces.
• Design Guidelines: Adherence to established design guidelines and industry best practices.
• Signal Integrity: A deep understanding of signal integrity principles and their impact on PCB performance.
• Power Integrity: Knowledge of power integrity considerations and their influence on circuit stability.
• Signal Integrity Optimization: Ability to optimize signal integrity through careful layout techniques and component selection.
• Noise Reduction: Experience in implementing noise reduction techniques in PCB design.
• Altium: Advanced skills in Altium for PCB design and analysis.

Experience Required: A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in PCB design is required. This level of experience indicates a seasoned professional capable of independently managing complex design projects and mentoring junior engineers.
