Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Design professional to join our team. This role will be responsible for the design and development of hardware solutions, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and a proven ability to translate design concepts into functional hardware.
Key Responsibilities
This role will involve a range of responsibilities related to the design and validation of hardware components and systems. The candidate will be expected to contribute to the entire hardware development lifecycle, from initial concept to production release.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc or M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc in Electrical Engineering: A foundational degree in Electrical Engineering is required, demonstrating a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and practices.
- Electrical Engineering: A deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit theory, electromagnetics, and signal processing, is essential.
- Hardware Engineering: Demonstrated experience in hardware design and development, with a focus on creating robust and reliable hardware solutions.
- Schematic Capture: Proficiency in creating detailed and accurate schematics using industry-standard tools, ensuring clear documentation of circuit designs.
- PCB Layout Design: Expertise in designing printed circuit boards (PCBs) that optimize signal integrity, thermal management, and manufacturability.
- Circuit Simulation: Ability to utilize circuit simulation tools to analyze and optimize circuit performance before physical implementation.
- PCB Design: Comprehensive knowledge of PCB design principles, including layer stack-up, trace routing, and component placement.
- Testing: Experience in designing and executing hardware testing plans to validate functionality and identify potential issues.
- Manufacturing: Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively troubleshoot hardware issues and identify root causes.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex data and draw meaningful conclusions to inform design decisions.
- LTE: Knowledge of Long-Term Evolution (LTE) wireless communication standards and their implementation in hardware.
- Wi-Fi: Familiarity with Wi-Fi wireless communication protocols and their integration into hardware designs.
- GNSS: Understanding of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) and their application in hardware solutions.
- BLE: Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology and its implementation in hardware.
- CAN: Knowledge of Controller Area Network (CAN) communication protocol and its use in automotive and industrial applications.
- RS-485: Familiarity with the RS-485 serial communication standard and its application in hardware designs.
- SPI: Understanding of Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) protocol and its implementation in hardware.
- I2C: Knowledge of Inter-Integrated Circuit (I2C) protocol and its application in hardware designs.
- Relays: Experience in designing and integrating relay circuits into hardware systems.
- Power Supply Circuits: Expertise in designing and implementing efficient and reliable power supply circuits.
- Micro-Controller Design: Experience in designing and integrating micro-controllers into hardware systems.
- Sensing Circuits: Ability to design and implement circuits for various types of sensors.
- VCU: Understanding of Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) functionality and integration with hardware components.
- BMS: Knowledge of Battery Management System (BMS) principles and their application in hardware designs.
- Chargers: Experience in designing and implementing charging circuits for various battery types.
- Power-Train: Familiarity with power-train systems and their integration with hardware components.
- Instrument Clusters: Understanding of instrument cluster design and integration with hardware components.
- RCA: Ability to perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve hardware issues.
Experience Required: The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 10-18 years of relevant experience in hardware design and development. This level of experience indicates a high degree of proficiency and the ability to lead complex hardware projects.
