Hardware Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hardware Design Engineer to join our growing team. This role will be responsible for the design and development of hardware solutions, contributing to the advancement of our technology within the Technology industry.

Key Responsibilities

The Hardware Design Engineer will be responsible for a range of tasks related to hardware design and development, including schematic capture, PCB layout design, functional testing, and root cause analysis (RCA). They will also contribute to documentation and ensure designs are suitable for manufacturing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and a proven ability to design and implement complex hardware systems. The following skills and qualifications are essential:

• Electrical Engineering: A deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit theory, signal processing, and power electronics.
• Hardware Engineering: Demonstrated experience in the full hardware design lifecycle, from concept to production.
• Schematic Capture: Proficiency in creating detailed and accurate schematics using industry-standard software.
• PCB Layout Design: Expertise in designing printed circuit boards (PCB) that meet performance, manufacturability, and cost requirements.
• Wireless Communication Technologies: Familiarity with wireless communication protocols including LTE, Wi-Fi, GNSS, and BLE.
• Memory Technologies: Knowledge of Non-Volatile Memory technologies and their application in embedded systems.
• Communication Protocols: Experience with various communication protocols such as CAN, RS-485, SPI, and I2C.
• Power Electronics: Understanding of Relays and Power Supply Circuits design and implementation.
• Micro-Controller Design: Experience in designing and integrating Micro-Controllers into hardware systems.
• Sensor Integration: Ability to design and implement Sensing Circuits for various applications.
• Vehicle Control Systems: Familiarity with VCU (Vehicle Control Unit) and BMS (Battery Management System) concepts.
• Power Systems: Experience with Chargers, Power-Train, and related power electronics.
• Automotive Systems: Knowledge of Instrument Clusters and their associated hardware requirements.
• Functional Testing: Ability to develop and execute comprehensive functional tests to validate hardware designs.
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Proven ability to perform thorough RCA to identify and resolve hardware issues.
• Circuit Simulation: Proficiency in using Circuit Simulation tools to analyze and optimize circuit performance.
• Documentation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create clear and concise technical documentation.
• Testing: Experience with various testing methodologies and equipment.
• Manufacturing: Understanding of manufacturing processes and their impact on hardware design.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and Problem-Solving Skills to effectively address complex hardware challenges.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to apply Analytical Skills to evaluate designs and identify potential issues.

Qualifications: A B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc or M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc in Electrical Engineering is required.

Experience Required: We are seeking a candidate with 9-10 years of relevant experience in hardware design and development. This level of experience indicates a senior-level role with expectations of independent work, mentorship, and technical leadership.
