Engineer / Senior Engineer-NVH Insulation

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineer or Senior Engineer to join our team in the Automotive industry. This role will be instrumental in the design and development of interior insulation components and related systems.

Key Responsibilities

The Engineer/Senior Engineer will be responsible for a range of tasks related to product design, development, and manufacturing feasibility. This includes conducting thorough manufacturing and assembly feasibility studies, providing build support, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure optimal component performance and integration.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: A B.E./B.Tech or M.E/ M.Tech degree in Mechanical, Automobile, Production, or Industrial Engineering is required.
• Product Design: Demonstrated ability in Product Design, encompassing the creation of innovative and functional designs for automotive components.
• Product Development: Experience in Product Development, guiding components from initial concept through to production-ready design.
• Component Design: Proficiency in Component Design, with a focus on interior insulation components such as Interior Insulation Components, Dash Inner, Dash Outer, Silencer, Hood Silencer, Fender Blocker, and Stuffer Silencer.
• System Level Designing: Ability to perform System Level Designing, ensuring that individual components integrate seamlessly within the larger automotive system.
• CAD Proficiency: Expertise in UG NX Modeling, CATIA V5, and CATIA V6 for creating detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
• PLM: Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems for managing product data and workflows.
• Manufacturing & Assembly Feasibility: Ability to conduct Manufacturing Feasibility Study and Assembly Feasibility Study to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective to produce.
• Communication & Presentation Skills: Excellent Communication Skills and Presentation Skills for effectively conveying technical information to stakeholders.
• Supplier Management: Experience in Supplier Coordination and Supplier Selection to ensure the procurement of high-quality components.
• Fitment & Validation: Ability to perform Fitment Trial and provide Build Support to validate component designs and ensure proper integration.
• Process & Value Optimization: Strong analytical skills to perform Process Optimization and Value Optimization, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Molding Processes: Knowledge of various molding processes including Thermoforming, Blow Molding, Compression Molding, and PU Injection Molds.
• NVH: Understanding of NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) principles and their impact on automotive component design.
• Data Acquisition: Experience with LMS Data Acquisition System for analyzing and optimizing component performance.

Experience: The ideal candidate will possess 5-8 years of relevant experience in automotive engineering, demonstrating a strong track record of successful product design and development.
