We are seeking a skilled and experienced Core Team Engineer to join our team in Chennai. This role will focus on the design, development, and validation of closure systems for our automotive products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, design methodologies, and manufacturing processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) / Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) / Master of Engineering (M. E) / Master of Technology (M. Tech.) degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering is required.
- Experience: 6-9 years of experience in automotive engineering, specifically related to closure systems, is expected. This level of experience indicates a proven ability to independently manage complex engineering tasks and contribute to team goals.
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex engineering problems and develop effective solutions. This includes the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and draw logical conclusions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: A systematic and resourceful approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Closure Parts Design: Expertise in the design of closure parts, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Closure Systems Design: Comprehensive knowledge of closure systems design, including mechanisms, sealing technologies, and integration with vehicle systems.
- Product Life Cycle Management: Familiarity with Product Life Cycle Management principles and practices, ensuring efficient management of product data and processes.
- Manufacturing Knowledge: A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including die process and die tryouts, to ensure designs are feasible for production.
- MIS: Proficiency in MIS (Management Information Systems) for data analysis and reporting.
- QFS, QUI, TGW: Experience with QFS, QUI, and TGW tools and methodologies.
- DFMEA: Expertise in DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to identify and mitigate potential design risks.
- CAD: Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software, including UG-Nx and CATIA.
- DVPR: Knowledge of DVPR (Design Verification Plan and Report) processes and requirements.
- Die Process: Understanding of Die Process principles and their impact on part quality and manufacturability.
- Die Tryouts: Experience with Die Tryouts to validate tooling and production processes.
- Weight Optimization: Ability to apply Weight Optimization techniques to minimize part weight without compromising performance or functionality.
- Cost Optimization: Experience in Cost Optimization strategies to reduce manufacturing costs while maintaining quality.
- Sheet Metal Design: Expertise in Sheet Metal Design principles and practices.
- Formability: Understanding of Formability considerations in sheet metal design.
- Mechanism: Strong understanding of mechanical Mechanism principles.
- Sealing: Knowledge of Sealing technologies and their application in closure systems.
- CDL Analysis: Ability to perform CDL (Crash Duration Limit) analysis to ensure safety performance.
- Kinematic Simulation: Proficiency in Kinematic Simulation to validate system functionality and performance.
- GD&T: Expertise in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Benchmarking: Ability to conduct Benchmarking studies to identify best practices and competitive advantages.
- Tear Down Activities: Experience in Tear Down Activities to analyze competitor products and identify design insights.
- Regulatory Requirements: Knowledge of relevant Regulatory Requirements for automotive closure systems.
- Teamcenter: Experience with Teamcenter for product data management.
