CAE Modeler - System / Vehicle integration

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated CAE Modeler to join our team in Chennai. This role will focus on system and vehicle integration, leveraging advanced CAE techniques to ensure optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical background and a passion for problem-solving within the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

The CAE Modeler will be responsible for a range of tasks related to CAE modeling and simulation, including:

• Performing LS-DYNA simulations for crashworthiness analysis.
• Utilizing PRIMER for pre- and post-processing of simulation data.
• Generating high-quality meshes using ANSA and HYPERWORKS.
• Evaluating structure interaction with restraints to ensure structural integrity.
• Analyzing occupant protection systems and contributing to restraint system tuning.
• Assessing crashworthiness performance and identifying areas for improvement.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and public domain requirements.
• Contributing to NCAP scoring points through simulation and analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

• LS-DYNA: Demonstrated proficiency in using LS-DYNA for explicit finite element analysis, including model setup, simulation execution, and result interpretation.
• PRIMER: Experience with PRIMER for pre- and post-processing of LS-DYNA simulation data, including material definition, boundary condition application, and result visualization.
• METAPOST: Familiarity with METAPOST for creating high-quality graphical representations of simulation results.
• ANSA: Strong skills in using ANSA for mesh generation and manipulation, including creating high-quality meshes for complex geometries.
• HYPERWORKS: Proficiency in HYPERWORKS for pre- and post-processing, optimization, and fatigue analysis.
• CAE: A comprehensive understanding of CAE principles and methodologies, including finite element analysis, explicit dynamics, and implicit dynamics.
• Mesh: Expertise in generating and optimizing meshes for various applications, including crashworthiness, structural analysis, and impact simulation.
• Connections: Ability to accurately model and simulate connections between components, including bolted joints, welded joints, and adhesive bonds.
• Crashworthiness: A strong understanding of crashworthiness principles and the ability to apply them to vehicle design and analysis.
• Regulatory: Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to vehicle safety and crashworthiness.
• Public domain requirements: Familiarity with public domain requirements related to vehicle safety and crashworthiness.
• NCAP scoring points: Understanding of NCAP scoring points and the ability to contribute to achieving high scores through simulation and analysis.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
• B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech: A B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

Experience Required: 1 - 4 years of relevant experience in CAE modeling and simulation within the automotive industry. This level of experience indicates a foundation in CAE principles and a willingness to learn and grow within a dynamic team environment.
