CAE Analyst – Seating Analysis

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CAE Analyst – Seating Analysis to join our team in Chennai. This role will focus on seating system analysis, utilizing advanced simulation techniques to ensure product safety and performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of automotive safety standards and a proven ability to correlate simulation results with physical test data.

Key Responsibilities

The CAE Analyst – Seating Analysis will be responsible for performing a range of analyses related to seating systems, including:

• Conducting finite element analysis (FEA) simulations using LS-Dyna to evaluate seating system performance under various loading conditions.
• Developing and implementing Standard Numbering Template creation for efficient data management and analysis.
• Performing Physical Test correlation to validate simulation models and ensure accuracy.
• Analyzing seating systems against relevant safety standards, including FMvSS 207-210, FMvSS225, and FMvSS208.
• Utilizing hypermesh and Ansa for mesh generation and pre-processing.
• Applying ST30 methodologies to ensure robust and reliable simulation results.

Required Skills & Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Education: A B.E / B.Tech / M.E / M.Tech degree from an accredited institution.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 - 10 years of experience in CAE analysis, with a focus on seating systems. This level of experience indicates a proficiency in conducting complex analyses and a demonstrated ability to solve challenging engineering problems.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in finite element analysis (FEA) software, specifically LS-Dyna.
• Experience with pre-processing and mesh generation tools such as hypermesh and Ansa.
• Strong understanding of seating system design and analysis principles.
• Familiarity with automotive safety standards, including FMvSS 207-210, FMvSS225, and FMvSS208.
• Ability to perform Physical Test correlation to validate simulation results.
• Knowledge of ST30 methodologies for robust simulation.
• Experience in Standard Numbering Template creation.
• Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
