Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aerothermal & HVAC Project Performance Engineer to join our team. This role will be responsible for ensuring the performance and validation of aerothermal and HVAC systems within our automotive products. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a passion for problem-solving, and a solid understanding of thermal performance principles. This is an onsite position.
Key Responsibilities
The Aerothermal & HVAC Project Performance Engineer will be responsible for the following:
- Performing aerothermal validation and HVAC testing to ensure system performance meets established targets.
- Conducting thermal performance analysis and optimization.
- Performing functional synthesis to integrate aerothermal and HVAC components effectively.
- Reviewing CAD designs and CFD/1D simulations to identify potential issues and ensure accuracy.
- Developing and executing DVP (Design Verification Plan) activities.
- Utilizing -vehicle instrumentation and conducting road trip testing to gather real-world performance data.
- Performing lab testing to evaluate component and system performance under controlled conditions.
- Performing data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Creating and maintaining scorecard metrics to track project performance.
- Facilitating cross-functional coordination with engineering, design, and validation teams.
- Managing PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) data and documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in the Mechanical or Automotive domain.
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Proven ability to approach challenges systematically, evaluate options, and implement solutions.
- Aerothermal Validation: Experience with validating aerothermal systems and components.
- HVAC Testing: Experience with testing and evaluating HVAC systems.
- Thermal Performance: Strong understanding of thermal performance principles and their application to automotive systems.
- Functional Synthesis: Ability to integrate various components and systems to achieve desired functionality.
- CAD Review: Proficiency in reviewing CAD designs for manufacturability and performance.
- CFD/1D Simulation Review: Ability to review and interpret CFD/1D simulation results.
- DVP: Experience with developing and executing DVP (Design Verification Plan) activities.
- Vehicle Instrumentation: Familiarity with vehicle instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Road Trip Testing: Experience with conducting road trip testing to evaluate system performance in real-world conditions.
- Lab Testing: Experience with performing lab testing to evaluate component and system performance.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing data using statistical methods and tools.
- Scorecard: Experience with creating and maintaining scorecard metrics to track project performance.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- PLM: Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems.
- Microsoft Suite: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel (including Macro capabilities), and PowerPoint.
- Power BI: Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
