Software Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chennai. This is a hybrid role within the IT / Technology industry. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of innovative solutions using a variety of SAP technologies.

Key Responsibilities

The Software Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Developing and maintaining SAP applications and modules.
• Performing performance tuning to optimize application efficiency.
• Creating and maintaining CDS Views and AMDP.
• Developing user interfaces using SAP Fiori and SAPUI5.
• Building and consuming OData services and utilizing Fiori Elements.
• Developing and deploying applications on SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).
• Implementing ABAP Restful Programming Model.
• Working with BAPI, BADI, and IDOC.
• Implementing User Exits.
• Developing and consuming Web Services, APIs, and RFCs.
• Implementing SAP security concepts and performing Authorization checks.
• Utilizing GitHub for version control.
• Analyzing and resolving complex technical issues.
• Communicating effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Proficiency in ABAP, including ABAP Objects and ABAP new syntax.
• Strong HANA SQL Programming skills.
• Experience with SAP Core Data Services (CDS) Views and AMDP.
• Experience developing SAP Fiori applications and SAPUI5 development.
• Knowledge of OData services and Fiori Elements.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform).
• Experience with ABAP Restful Programming Model.
• Understanding of BAPI, BADI, and IDOC concepts.
• Experience with User Exits.
• Knowledge of Web Services, APIs, and RFCs.
• Understanding of SAP security concepts and Authorization checks.
• Experience using GitHub for version control.
• Excellent Analytical Skills to identify and resolve complex problems.
• Strong Problem-Solving Skills to effectively troubleshoot and debug issues.
• Exceptional Communication Skills to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Experience Required: 10 - 10 years of experience in SAP development. This level of seniority requires a seasoned professional capable of independently designing, developing, and implementing complex solutions, as well as mentoring junior team members.
