Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Jakarta Expert to join our team. This is a hybrid role within the IT / Technology industry. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Java and Jakarta EE technologies, along with expertise in designing and developing cloud-native applications and microservices architectures.

Key Responsibilities

The Java Jakarta Expert will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and scalable Java-based solutions. This includes contributing to architectural decisions, writing high-quality code, and mentoring junior developers. The role requires a strong focus on building resilient, distributed systems and ensuring adherence to industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Java: Extensive experience in Java programming, including a strong understanding of core Java concepts and principles.
• Jakarta EE: Deep expertise in Jakarta EE technologies, including JPA, CDI, EJB, and JAX-RS.
• Domain-Driven Design (DDD): Proven ability to apply Domain-Driven Design principles to develop software that aligns with business requirements.
• Architecture & Design: Strong architectural and design skills, with the ability to create scalable, maintainable, and testable software solutions.
• Coding: Excellent coding skills with a focus on writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Java SE: Proficiency in Java Standard Edition.
• Cloud-Native Systems: Experience designing and developing applications for cloud-native environments.
• Microservices Architecture: Solid understanding of microservices architecture principles and patterns.
• Distributed Systems: Experience in designing and implementing distributed systems.
• AWS, Azure, GCP: Experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Docker & Kubernetes: Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Event-Driven Architectures: Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures.
• Messaging Systems: Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• API Design: Strong skills in RESTful and GraphQL API design.
• CI/CD Pipelines & DevOps Practices: Experience with CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps Practices.
• Git & Jenkins: Proficiency in using Git for version control and Jenkins for automation.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Debugging Skills: Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting Java applications.

• Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.
• Reactive Frameworks: Experience with reactive frameworks such as Spring WebFlux, Quarkus, and Micronaut.
• NoSQL Databases: Experience with NoSQL Databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra.
• In-Memory Data Grids: Experience with in-memory data grids like Hazelcast and Redis.
• Security Frameworks: Knowledge of security frameworks such as OAuth2 and OpenID Connect.
• Observability Tools: Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK Stack.

Experience Required: 7 - 15 years of experience in Java development, with a proven track record of designing and implementing complex software solutions. This level of seniority requires a self-directed individual capable of leading technical initiatives and mentoring other team members.
