Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Japanese Language Expert - Storage to join our dynamic team. This is a hybrid role within the IT / Technology industry. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional Japanese language proficiency combined with a strong understanding of storage administration and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities
The Japanese Language Expert - Storage will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to storage infrastructure, requiring both technical expertise and excellent communication skills. Specific duties include:
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for storage-related issues, with a focus on clear and effective communication with Japanese-speaking stakeholders.
- Assisting with Data Migration projects, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Performing Replication and Backup Configuration tasks to maintain data availability and protect against data loss.
- Monitoring Storage Performance, Storage Capacity, and Storage Health to proactively identify and address potential issues.
- Utilizing ITSM Tools, specifically ServiceNow, to manage Incident Management and Problem Management processes.
- Working with NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP and Hybrid Cloud Storage environments.
- Contributing to Backup/Disaster Recovery planning and execution.
- Effectively communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including direct Customer Interfacing Abilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Japanese Language Proficiency: Native or near-native fluency in Japanese is essential, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- JLPT Certification: Possession of JLPT N2 or JLPT N1 certification is highly desirable, demonstrating a high level of Japanese language proficiency.
- Storage Administration: A solid understanding of storage administration principles and practices.
- Storage Solutions: Experience with various Storage Solutions and technologies.
- Data Migration: Experience with data migration processes and tools.
- Replication & Backup: Proficiency in data replication and backup configuration.
- Performance Monitoring: Ability to monitor and analyze storage performance metrics.
- Capacity Planning: Experience in storage capacity planning and management.
- Health Monitoring: Ability to monitor and interpret storage health indicators.
- ITSM Tools: Experience using ITSM Tools for incident and problem management.
- ServiceNow: Familiarity with ServiceNow platform.
- Incident & Problem Management: Understanding of incident and problem management methodologies.
- NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP: Experience with NetApp Cloud Volumes ONTAP is a plus.
- Hybrid Cloud Storage: Knowledge of Hybrid Cloud Storage concepts and technologies.
- Backup/Disaster Recovery: Understanding of Backup/Disaster Recovery principles.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal Communication Skills in both Japanese and English.
- Customer Interfacing Abilities: Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and support customers.
- Education: Any Degree is acceptable.
Experience Required
We are seeking candidates with 3 - 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role. This level of experience indicates a proficiency in storage administration and a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
